Housatonic-Bend Of River

As a flyfisherman for most of my life, the Housatonic River in Cornwall and Sharon Connecticut has always been my "home away from home".    The bend of the river under certain lighting conditions always produces a dramatic effect.  I was lucky one late afternoon to catch the River's glow, and I gave up a few rising trout to accomplish this painting!  This painting was also part of the Lyme Art Association's Annual Landscape Show this year.  More paintings of the Housatonic are avaiable and will join this collection this early Fall, 2026.
